At the beginning of each year we can benefit from considering our thoughts and attitudes toward what the year ahead may represent for us. Consider this message from the book of James to help you prepare for what's ahead.
On this anniversary of the Sanctity of Human Life, I want to invite you to restore your Biblical view of the Sanctity of Human Life. We hear so many contradictory points of view, why not see what the Bible says?
Participating in the Lord's Supper is a very special and spiritual experience. I pray this message will bless you and deepen your appreciation for this ordinance.
This familiar account about Naaman and his leprosy and Elisha's cure has much to teach us if we are listening. I pray God will bless you with His truth in this message.
This message is a call to a serious evaluation of one's commitment to Christ's Church regardless of the "hard" times that may come up along the way. I encourage any discouraged church member to listen to this message and have a heart to heart talk with the Lord.
In the days of Josiah king of Judah there was an awesome revival. What can we learn from that revival and how do we test a modern day revival such as the one going on currently in Asbury College in Kentucky. I invite you to join me in a study of the three "F'" concerning a revival.
I invite you to view this message in light of a desire to get thoroughly right with God by way of faith in Jesus Christ and walking with Him in your daily life. If you desire to be a "vessel unto honor" and to be equipped and used by the Master, this message can be a blessing to you.
When you read the title of this message, you probably do a double take. However I challenge you to view this presentation and consider what the scripture demonstrates through the life of King Manasseh regarding the benefit of affliction.
Daniel's prayer, which is recorded in Dan. 9:1-19, is one of the most informative prayers recorded in the Bible where we can hear the heart of a godly man bowed before a Holy God. As you watch this video, you will find five reasons which I have listed why Daniel could expect Jehovah God to listen to his prayer. As you watch you can also examine your life in light of what is being revealed about Daniel and his people.
John 6 is a powerful demonstration of the difference between those who are materially minded and those who are spiritually minded. Jesus clearly points the people to the spiritual but they overwhelmingly rejected the truth for that which was only carnal, fleshly or material. See if you can find the spiritual truths that Jesus is presenting in this passage.
I invite you to examine with me the events recorded in Jesus' life as He "set His face" to go up to Jerusalem to become our Savior by dying on the cross for our sins. There are many significant truths contained in this passage for our deep consideration.
Join me in the examination of Christ's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. As we study this tremendous historical event, consider the many scripture references that point to the significance of this day and of Christ as "the Stone."
Resurrection Sunday is the highest point of the Christian faith. Without Christ's Resurrection there would be no salvation, forgiveness of sin or hope for life after death. This message will show from God's Word how Jesus' death, burial and Resurrection brought about the defeat of sin, death and the grave.
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter from his imprisonment in Rome and desired that God would do a mighty work in the lives of these believers. Therefore, his prayer for them was very personal and of a deep spiritual nature. I pray God the Holy Spirit will speak to your heart through this message and that you will seek a deeper walk with the Lord.
This message is to demonstrate the abuse of words that happens when a society abandons the authority of scripture and the authority of God to establish values for a society. Nehemiah was opposed in doing the work of the Lord in rebuilding the walls around Jerusalem and his bold response to them should encourage us to boldness as well.
As we celebrate the Lord's Supper today, we will look to the Old Testament to find out some interesting spiritual truths and how they apply to Christ in the New Testament and our salvation! Jesus knew the scriptures well and used them to teach a Pharisee an important truth.
Take a trip with me from the establishment of Abram as the head of the nation of Israel to the establishment of Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel with Christ reigning as King for 1000 years. The many names given to Jerusalem are very interesting and point to the eternal nature of God's plan for mankind and redemption.
This message speaks to what happens when a nation forgets to honor God and His Word. Fathers and mothers have a huge responsibility to train up their children in the way that they should go. When that doesn't happen on a broad scope, a nation is heading toward "perilous times." America is there, just as other nations have that have forgotten God. Check out this message and consider what God would have you do to help avoid "perilous times."
Investigate with me the development of persecution against the disciples and the early church by the Jewish leaders and the Roman government. We find that Jesus warned that this would happen and gave instruction regarding what they could depend on as far as His support for them when the tests came. I encourage you to consider your own preparation for persecution since we are warned that it will come in the last days.
Paul's letter to the believers in Thessalonica is very instructive about the security of believers and also about the future judgment of the unbelievers. I hope you will be blessed by this message and that it will lead you to be bold in your witness for the Lord.
Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are called to "Watch, Look and Wait" for the Lord's return. I encourage you to view this video and take these truths to heart as you examine yourself to find out if you are ready for His return.
Join me in a study on that famous passage from Josh. 24:15, "...as for me an my house, we will serve the Lord.... I think you will find a clear challenge before you for the times in which we are living.
I believe you will be blessed with encouragement from God's Word regarding the example of Abraham as the "father of many people and many nations." His testimony of "believing God and it being counted to him as righteousness," sets the stage for us to, by faith, believe and become one of his heirs of faith and imputed righteousness!
I invite you to check this message and learn about the importance of being a watchman not only in Biblical Times, but today as well. Learn about the responsibility of both the watchman and of those who hear the warning that is sounded by the watchman. We are living in times where we need to take the warnings that are being sounded seriously.
