I invite you to join me in viewing the scripture from a perspective of seeking Wisdom and Finding and Following it! In these times in which we live we have a great need for Biblical Wisdom to apply in our lives to cope with the craziness of our times.
This message is from one of the most powerful chapters of the Gospel of John. It shows the power of the Deity of Christ and also His amazing concern for one person to know Him personally. It is also a chapter of excitement as we find some 15 question marks woven through the text.
Nineteen time in the 17th chapter of John, the word "world" is used. It is interesting in examining this passage to see Jesus speak of being in and out of this world. Join me in examining the scripture to see what that means for you and your life. Are you In or Out.
I want to invite you to a serious study of the importance of the truth that God sent Jesus to earth for His mission of redemption. Jesus repeatedly refers to the fact that God sent Him to the world and then makes it very important that His followers know and communicate that truth to others. Finally, He declared that as He was sent by His Father, so He was sending us into the world to let them know and believe that He was sent from the Father and that He loved them.
This message is for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It deals with the various conditions that can lead a person into denying the Lord Jesus Christ and the truths of scripture. We need to recognize that we have daily opportunities to practice being bold in the faith and not yielding to the temptation to compromise our testimony and to deny our Lord. This message is both one that we don't want to hear and that we need to hear. We don't want to hear it because of the bad news concerning our lost condition if we haven't accepted Christ as our Savior and what we need to hear as the best news available for mankind.
